Helen has been working in Theatre Sound for over 20 years. She was awarded the Irish Times Best Sound Design Award in 2014 for Ballyturk one of the many shows Helen has designed with her long term collaborator writer and director Enda Walsh.

She also works regularly with Director and Artistic Director Douglas Rintoul, Ipswich New Wolsey. Owen Horsely, associate artist at the RSC and Cheek by Jowl.

Helen has collaborated many times with the comedian Mark Thomas both in live performances and in podcasts. More recently Helen has enjoyed working with Jennifer Baskt for English Touring Theatre on various podcasts and augmented reality projects.

Helen spent a big chunk of time working site specifically with Cornwall’s Wildworks under the leadership of the late great Bill Mitchell. She is very proud of the sound design she created for the amazing Chris Bullzini Wirewalk in Norwich City Centre to open the Norfolk and Norwich Festival 2019.

Helen lives in Norfolk with her young family, as well as regularly designing and creating audio works, Helen is the Executive Administrator for the Association for Sound Design and Production.
